Women in Leadership
On 24 November, the ECCKSA, in collaboration with the Embassy of Finland in Saudi Arabia and with the support of Nokia, held the Women in Leadership social reception to celebrate and promote the increasing influence of women leaders in the Kingdom. The event, graciously hosted by H.E. Anu-Eerika Viljanen, Ambassador of Finland to Saudi Arabia, brought together inspiring professionals and executives from multiple sectors and showcased women’s roles as innovators, decision-makers, and catalysts of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing transformation.
We were honoured to hear inspiring contributions from H.E. Anu-Eerika Viljanen, Ms. Sue Donoghue (DHL Arab Cluster CEO & ECCKSA Vice-Chair), and Ms. Ulla-Maija Simola (Head of Mobile Networks Middle East and Africa Commercial Management department at Nokia), whose insights highlighted leadership, empowerment, and a shared commitment to meaningful progress.
We were also honoured to welcome H.E. Safa Alrashed, Deputy Minister for Capabilities & Future Workforce at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology among other distinguished guests.
The presence of many ambassadors, including H.E. Christophe Farnaud, EU Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, further demonstrated the strong diplomatic support for women’s leadership and international collaboration.
Far more than a networking occasion, this initiative reflects the ECCKSA’s dedication to fostering inclusion and opportunity. By building connections between European and Saudi partners, it enables shared learning, mentorship, and cooperation in support of women’s leadership pathways, fully aligned with Vision 2030’s commitment to diversity and empowerment at every level of society.
